Nexus Jupiter Incident Save Games
Sword of the Stars 1 has very nice and deep real-time tactical combat, a very good ship design module with tons of different techs, but it should be noted that the strategical part of the game is on the lighter side (fine by me). Stay away from Sword of the Stars 2 however, it may look prettier but it's a desperately broken product despite tons of patching.Another suggestion is Starsector. It's like a 2D Homeworld meets Mount & Blade, with excellent tactical combat, very good moddability.
It's pretty hardcore. The best way I can desribe Star Wolves right now would be to say it's a (sort of) open world Homeworld like game where you control 1 ship and several fighters and wander around doing things. You don't have giant armies, and you don't mine resources and build fleets.
You pick up debris here and there, buy and sell things at stations, recruit a few pilots, upgrade your 'carrier' and fighters. It has a decent story. It could have more side missions, but it does have a few. Decisions you make effect parts of the game. There are also a fair number of AI ships wandering around doing stuff.I doubt you'd find anyone that says the Star Wolves games are the best out there (maybe the developers and their parents?) but they're decent enough. Starwolves 1 and 3 are the best ones, 2 was absolutely awful. Its an RPG in space, you basically command a wing of fighters, you control the load-out and advance the characters skills.

Vijay tv super singer junior 3 grand finale 2016. I found 1 and 3 to be a challenge and the story is good enough to keep you amused, number 3 is a bit more sandboxy than number 1 in that you get free roam but there isn't much to do in-between missions. For me personally, I thought they were good games but they stopped short of being great (which is why i'm making my own space RPG/RTS, i've waited long enough) grab them in the sale if you can.It is seriously annoying how this genre has just been left to wilt and die. Would it have killed them to churn out Homeworld 3? I've managed to knock together the basics for something similar on my own in 6 weeks and i'm no genius (well maybe I am a little hehe.).
Have any of you guys ever heard of this game? I played it a while ago 'cause my cousin had it, and just recently got it on Steam. It's about a period wherein humanity has gotten fairly good at traveling around our own solar system, when suddenly a wormhole opens to a hitherto-unknown region of space. The story is a little basic, but the real thing that makes it interesting is the gameplay.
It plays extremely similar, mechanically speaking, to EVE. You control a fleet of ships, each potentially outfitted with different kinds of equipment. You use orders like 'Orbit X distance', 'Align to', 'Approach' and so forth to maneuver in space.
Fire batteries of weapons, launch fighter squadrons, or even launch marines to engage in boarding operations. Manage ship systems and resources to out-maneuver or outgun your enemies.I thought it was interesting so long ago just because I'd never played a game like it - a space game about ship-to-ship combat that actually felt a little realistic. Like it was really meant to be about spaceship combat. Years later I gave EVE a try and found it was in many ways very similar.Just thought I'd see what you guys thought of it. I'd love to hear from anybody else who played it. Such a neat, niche game.edit: totally forgot to add a link. I was reminded of it while browsing the current steam sales.

Its like eve, singleplayer with pause button AND newtonian physics;)edit: there was a interesting ship i still remember, it was like a moving pos, weapons could not shoot through the shield but ships could break through them but would lose their own shields for a few moments. And ships could have multiple engines, for cruise or for evasive actions - it was all fairly unique back then.edit2: there was a kickstarter for nexus 2 but i believe it did not make it.
